The Antiquities Program at Missouri State University offers a Bachelor of Arts major and a Bachelor of Arts minor in Antiquities. The Antiquities major is comprehensive, which means that a minor is not required. The Antiquities program is interdisciplinary, including courses from several different departments such as Modern & Classical Languages, History, Religious Studies, and Sociology & Anthropology.
Depending on his or her interest, a student majoring in Antiquities will concentrate their course work in one of three fields: Classical Studies, Near Eastern Studies, or New World Studies. Antiquities degree recipients have gone on to work in a number of different fields, including college teaching, high school teaching, law, and business.
If you are interested in finding out more about the Antiquities Program please check out our Antiquities Blog or visit our Facebook page. You are also invited to contact the Antiquities Program Coordinator, Dr. Joseph Hughes, in Craig Hall 390B, at (417) 836-6601, or email JosephHughes at MissouriState.edu.
